AquaVitae develops different training activities that provide the knowledge needed to bring the low-trophic aquaculture production to a wider audience ensuring sustainable food production and mitigation of the climate crisis. Dr. Nyiko Mabasa graduated with her PhD at the Department of Ichthyology and Fisheries Science, at Rhodes University. She is currently doing her post-doc at the Department and also working on an AquaVitae project. Her interests are in aquaculture, agriculture and the reclamation of industrial wastewater.
