AquaVitae partner, ALGAplus, won the 2019 Millennium Horizons Award in the Tourism, Sea and Forests category. This is the 3rd edition of the contest promoted by the Portuguese Millennium BCP bank.
With a record of 2,167 applications from 1,035 companies of all sizes, ALGAplus collected one of the 39 trophies. In this competition the jury values companies with a strategy for the future, export values and a culture open to experimentation.
ALGAplus is a private Portuguese company that produces customised seaweed and seaweed-based products for the food and well-being markets, reaching the B2B (companies & restaurants) and B2C (retail) sectors with different brands. ALGAplus seaweed are organic certified. Sustainable production under the Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) concept, a strong focus in R&D and continuous support to customers are their keystones.
